The first announcements for the Best Books for children and teens are coming in. Included so far are The New York Times Best Illustrated Books for Children and Best Children’s Books selected by the editors of Kirkus Reviews.

Keep up with the announcements and watch which books are receiving the most positive recognitions by following our 2012 Best Books for Children and Teens board on Pinterest.

Books that have received three starred reviews or more are automatically listed by Linda’s Links to Literature.

Most awards and recognitions for books are given towards the end of each calendar year by book review sources. The American Library Association recognizes the best books in January for the previous publishing year.

Information will be added to our Pinterest board as books are recognized.

Be sure to check back frequently.
